Another thing that marijuana is known to affect is you mental health/memory. It is suggested that marijuana can cause many mental disorders, including acute toxic psychosis, panic attacks, flashbacks, delusions, depersonalization, hallucinations, paranoia, depression, and uncontrollable aggressiveness. Marijuana has long been known to trigger attacks of mental illness, such as bipolar (manic-depressive) psychosis and schizophrenia.
Connections Between Marijuana and Birth Defects- While there is no sound evidence concerning the use of marijuana during pregnancy, some studies on animals indicate that the risk for miscarriage increases if marijuana is used early in pregnancy. There is also mixed evidence as to whether marijuana is associated with a low birth rate or premature birth. Research has also suggested that pregnant women who smoke marijuana have a 2.3 times greater risk of stillbirth. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists does not recommend the use of marijuana while trying to get pregnant, during pregnancy, or while breastfeeding.
